The architect and client worked together to produce a beautiful, full-length display cabinet. This system was designed to have a minimal visual impact on the cabinet. Only a turntable is visible behind it’s glass door, as the TV can be hidden behind a rolling cabinet door. Wiring behind the cabinet was done in advance, so that intra-cabinet wiring would be eliminated and clutter within the cabinet reduced to a minimum. All electronics, including amplifiers, cable box, electronic volume controls, LAN cell tower, and network equipment are hidden in several compartments within the cabinet. The client did not want to have any visible speakers (even behind cloth coverings), so a single 5.1 surround bar was hidden behind a key architectural element. An elegant, hand-held remote control manages all system functions over RF versus IR.
